We have a broken French door that was installed by Lowe’s about fifteen years ago (before we bought the house).
I’m replacing it with a same sized French door, but l’ve never done this before. I am curious if l’ll need to remove whatever flashing is there and reflash everything again? And buy a new sill pan (if they used one) and replace their sill pan with my new one?
Or should I just keep the flashing that is there intact, if it looks okay, and just install the new door over it? That would of course be very easy since they’re both similar big box prehung doors, but I don’t want to miss any water damage or holes of anything.
