I’m planning a trip for December and I have several questions about it. First, we are flying to Amsterdam, and after that we’re considering purchasing the Off-peak Group Ticket to go to Valkenburg. The main question about this is if it’s allowed to travel directly from the airport with this kind of ticket, as where I come from, the airport is always excluded from promotions or cheaper tickets. Another question related is about the transfer stops. We’ll be staying in Heerlen for one night (in order to enjoy properly the Christmas atmosphere), so I would like to know if we can leave our luggage at the hotel in the transfer time and after that continue our route to Valkenburg, or whether we have to pay again for the ticket between Heerlen and Valkenburg. Also, I saw that it’s possible to come again to Heerlen at night without any inconvenience for 3.8€, is it correct?
Second topic is about accomodation. I’ve been looking for different options in the Valkenburg area and Maastricht, but all the offers were quite expensive, so that’s why I’m planning to stay at Heerlen. Is it a good option?
Finally I have questions regarding Christmas markets in Valkenburg. I saw there are different tickets for each market and activity, but is there any ticket which includes all of them together? Because I don’t know how much time I will spend in each of them and maybe if I buy them separately, I’m late for the next one (and also I’m looking for any discount related to grouping tickets). Also, I want to visit all of them on one afternoon/evening. Is it viable? We’re planning about starting this Christmas visit around 16:00. We’ll be in Valkenburg for one day as we’ll be going to Amsterdam the next day.
Thank you so much for your help!
