Hi, me and my friends (7 people in total) have decided to go to Vienna for the new year (December 30, 2024-January 3, 2025). We planned to visit some of the famous places like the zoo, Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien or Museum of Natural History Vienna, one of the palaces, explore the city etc… I am interested in your advice on what else to visit, where to eat, some good clubs etc. I would like to know if the museums are open on 31.12. or 1.1., since I assume that the shops are not working or am I wrong? Where to spend New Year’s Eve (club or square?), can alcohol be consumed on the streets during that night? Any good restaurants, Austrian home cooking? I read that you can buy a 3-day public transport ticket, it includes all types of transport like trams, buses, metro…? Is it worth spending almost the whole day at the zoo and is it open during New Year’s days? We plan to go by car and leave it in one of the Park+Ride garages, is it true that parking there costs approx. 5e/day and is it safe to leave the car there?

I know this is a lot of questions and I will be grateful if I get an answer to at least some of them, also I will gladly accept and consider any advice :D
