I’m curious about the capabilities of lockdown or proctoring software when it comes to detecting specific setups. For instance, can such software tell if you’re running it in a virtual machine rather than a physical machine? Additionally, would it be able to detect if multiple input devices, like two mice, are connected to the same device during an exam?

I’m asking this from a privacy and security perspective, as I’m interested in understanding how these tools monitor user environments and what kind of data they collect to enforce compliance.
