It seems that the price of bitcoin is responding similar to SP500 to market news (inflation, recession concerns) making it trade similar to a stock (albeit more volatile). I understand the arguments for being an inflation hedge theoretically. I’m asking (understanding no one knows) when do you think we’ll hit the critical point where we’ll respond to headlines of increasing inflation with bitcoin price going up?

This is purely academic economic question.
