20 years ago i had all the music i ever wanted to listen to. Nspster + winamp + hours of listening pleasure. For the last 10 years i haven’t touched an audio file directly and have really loved the streaming subscription model - everything i listen to now is Amazon music, Spotify and google play music / yt misic subs.

Recently, my daughter has been going through a rough time, and is currently in a facility that is helping her and ys get through this. Music is a big part of our lives, and she has no access to Internet/ streaming options, but she is able to use an mp3 player. How do i get music to her for a few months on an mp3 player that is not ludicrously priced? Is there a way to get a “streaming only” sort of device? Are there any music subs that allow downloading of content i pay for? My daughter has a playlis that 200 tracks should cover, and i just want a (legit) way of getting some / most of these onto an mp3 player for her that doesn’t need to go through spy/malware sites
