Hi all. I love glitch stories and finally have one to share. So a few weeks ago on a Wednesday my husband came home mid day and told me he has lost his wedding band somewhere. This wasn’t a big surprise, he had lost weight in his hands and the band was super loose, he has lost it before. I was cleaning and re-organizing our room, we did a cursory look but did not find it. I sent a message in the roommates group chat and we figured it would show again eventually as it always did. Important info, that Wednesday I was cleaning/re-organizing specifically a dressed by our bed. My husband uses this as a night stand and keeps his medicine there. I moved the bottles several times, knocked them over etc etc. Jump to late Friday night, my husband goes to take his evening meds and his wedding band is there in one of the caps of his meds. Picture those big orange RX bottle with the deep white caps you can flip over to make a cup. This cap was flipped and it was sitting in the cup part. My husband goes “Oh, where did you find my ring?” I said I didn’t and look at him. He is confused but tells me where he found it. I said maybe our roommates had found it, let me go ask. I go and ask the four other adults and the 5 kids in the house if they had found it and put it there. No one had found it. No one had even been in our room. There were also only two instances in that time that neither one of us were home for very short amounts of time. I also want to reiterate, that I had moved those bottles Wednesday, back and forth. This medication is one he takes twice a day, so he had looked at that bottle Wednesday night, twice Thursday and Friday morning. Also, it was found in the only med cap that was flipped, and it was in the only med he has to take so often, so a guaranteed spot he would find it quickly. The whole household was mystified. Also I have now bought him a new wedding band of the correct size.
