Hi, I’m a first time user of PiHole and have a few questions about the setup - I just ordered the kit which hasn’t arrived yet yet.
I’m currently running a mesh Eero network and I understand that the ideal setup is to have the pihole device hardwired in. I’m currently using all of my Eero’s Ethernet ports, so would it be possible to use the pihole with a Ethernet hub or with the second Eero node, or does it specifically need to be directly hardwired to my main Eero node?
Also, I want to make this as user friendly as possible to pass the spouse test. I know there are several software solutions to pause the pihole functionality, and even some physical button options. A physical button is ideal, but all of the DIY options I’ve seen are large and ugly - is there a simple button I can buy that works with IFTTT, HomeKit, etc, that I can set up to do the same thing?
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!
