Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a heads-up about a potential phishing scam I received. I got a text message claiming to be from Binance, inviting me to participate in their “Tombola Binance RO” raffle. The message included a link: binance.aets-withdrawal.com.
Red flags:
- Suspicious link: The link in the message doesn’t look like a legitimate Binance URL.
- Official-looking number: While the sender’s number might seem official, scammers often use spoofing techniques to make their messages appear legitimate.
- Urgency: The message creates a sense of urgency, urging you to participate immediately.
Stay safe:
- Never click on links in unsolicited messages. If you’re unsure about a message, go directly to the official Binance website or app to check for any promotions or raffles.
- Verify the sender’s identity. Be cautious of messages from unknown numbers, even if they appear to be from a reputable company.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Binance account. This adds an extra layer of security and makes it harder for scammers to access your account.
Remember: Binance will never ask you for your private information or passwords via text message or email. If you receive a suspicious message, report it to Binance’s customer support immediately.
Let’s stay vigilant and protect ourselves from these scams!
