Hello everyone. I want to upgrade my pc but I last kept in touch quite a while ago, I tried to ask around on different subreddits but I got only a few answers so I’m trying my luck here. Right now the thing that’s bothering me is the CPU, I have AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and the processor that caught my eye is Intel Core i7 14700kf but I’ve recently heard from a friend that Intel’s reliability has declined and that they have quite a lot of returns which is understandably worrisome, but at the same time I didn’t find an AMD processor with similar performance for a similar price, of course, there are things like Ryzen 9 7950X3D which is significantly more powerful but that one is more than 200€ more expensive (on the shop from which Im buying those at least). I’ve also heard somewhere that the i7 is probably the best processor from Intel’s 14th gen, but the thing I’ve heard most about is that AMD has quite a big lead when it comes to sales customer satisfaction and stuff like that. I don’t know why that is the case so could someone explain to me what was going on in the CPU marketplace while I wasn’t paying attention to it? And also if the i7 14700kf is even a good choice.

side note: The last time I knew what was going on was about 8 years ago. Since then I bought the Ryzen 7 5800X purely off of a friend’s recommendation. just so you know how long I’ve been out of touch.
