I’m not allowed to bring my phone on a school trip of 5 days and I need to bring it for important reasons. They say they have a “system” to detect phones. Since it’s a small-ish camp and they will probably not have the best technology will just switching off my phone stop it from being detected? Or would I need to make a faraday pouch (by covering my phone with plastic, then foil, then plastic, then foil till it’s fully covered). Is there anything I can do?

Also I’ve heard it depends on your phone’s model too. Mine is OnePlus 12
