As part of upgrading my home NAS, I’m thinking of getting a Jonsbo N4 case to put a few Drives to good use and expand my pool. I’m thinking of going with a 12/13th Gen Intel chip (i3/i5) but I’m having a hard time finding a Motherboard for the build.

I’m debating if it makes sense to get an ITX board or an M-ATX as well. I need about 6 or 7 SATA ports to keep my current usage and a bit of future space in mind, but I didn’t see anything with more than 4 SATA ports. Apart from SATA, I don’t think I really need too many PCIE lanes or anything, maybe just one to put in a 10 Gig Network card down the line. I could probably use that for a SATA Card as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a motherboard that I could use?

Also, does an ITX board use less power than an M-ATX board at all? I read it somewhere but I’m not sure why that would be the case honestly. I would think it depends on what I plug in to the motherboard.
