Repeated attempts to establish connection - Error with Android devices: recv_socks_reply: TCP port read timeout expired. Operation now in progress (errno=115)

My android devices started to keep getting the following looping error:

Preserve, attempt, establish with 127.0.0.1:1080
recv_socks_reply: TCP port read timeout expired. Operation now in progress (errno=115)
SIGUSR1[soft,socks-error] received, process restarting

Devices

are Using OpenVPN with Shadowsocks.
won’t connect either through Mullvad app or Wireguard.
