I wanted to make sure i was not going to damage my car or some coating im unaware of on the window, so in case its relevant its a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV.

So i went to a hand car wash and accdentally blasted the glass with the wax setting. Now i have splotches on the window that haven’t gone away for months. I thought it might just wear off but nope. Its on there pretty good.

How can i safely remove the wax without damage to the window? Is it just good to use denatured spirits? Or Isopropyl alcohol? I assume the window surface is really just glass, but i thought i should make sure im not mistaken because i am assuming. I’m probably just being paranoid but i wanted to make sure my ignorance about possible coatings that may or may not exist doesn’t cause irreparable harm.

If i have to resort to elbow grease, thats fine - but i’m kind of short. What is a good brush to give me leverage and the grit needed to actually bite the wax off the glass with my feet on the ground?
