Like the title says, is dry drowning a real thing and happens when someone inhales water and then can’t breathe?
I went swimming recently, and while swimming hot water up my nose. I didn’t cough or gag after that happened, and now I’m worried that I inhaled water and like the waters trapped in me. I don’t know if that’s possible.
I’ve been constipated for several years, and I feel like that’s put a lot of pressure on my stomach and chest. I often have the feeling of water in my nose even when I haven’t been swimming recently. Sometimes I worry that I need to cough, but I can’t get relief because being constipated is putting too much pressure on my chest to be able to cough and get relief.
What are symptoms of dry drowning if it’s a real thing? I’m worried about it because I inhaled water through my nose today and I didn’t cough it out when it happened.
