Stanley Tucci is great in everything he does, but the moment that actually sold me on him as an amazing performer is the final line of dialogue in Conspiracy: When viewing the film for the first time, Tucci’s Eichmann comes across as absolutely dedicated and loyal to Heydrich, eager to please him and to ensure the meeting impresses. At the of the film, after Heydrich praises Schubert’s classical piece and leaves, Eichmann plays it, with the audience anticipating he is trying to take after Heydrich. But then he delivers the line: “I’ve never understood the passion for Schubert’s sentimental Viennese shit.”

It totally changes his character. With one line I realized the facade he’d put on the whole time and saw him in a whole new light.

Anyone have favorite lines or moments that shockingly change the way they see a character?
