My idea to “attack” my backlog, and maybe yours too?
So obviously we all have the problem of having way to many games in our backlog / library and it being so overwhelming we don’t actually know what to play. And we keep buying new games to make the “problem” bigger and bigger.
I have it on both my pc (steam) and switch. And I wanted to first actually play some of my backlog on my switch. So I made a list of all my games and searched the average time to best and sorted them from lowest to highest. What I noticed was that I started picking games not because I was most interested… but because they wouldn’t take long to beat. And it felt from a chore right from the start…
So I have something that I want to try out and thought maybe could be a fun idea to share. I’m gonna add (part of) my backlog to one of those spin wheels you can make online. The rules are simple: you spin the wheel twice. And out of those two games, and those two games only, you have to pick one of them I play.
After that there are multiple options like:
- add the one you didn’t pick and spin one of two new ones and then pick from those two (or three)
- spin two completely new games and pick from those two
- or, obviously, if you liked both from your first spin: play them both.
What do you think of this idea? Will you try it too?
