Hey all, I have had a silly idea. What would it be like to supplement one game with another? Effectively linking the mechanics of one game with the story from a separate title; but melding the overall experience into one.
I’ve been curious about NMS for awhile, and I know the game is solid after years of updates. But I’ve also always heard that the game suffers from a lack of a major overarching story, and that it eventually becomes an endless loop.
I have a couple of space-themed games in my backlog, and while they are amazing narrative-driven experiences, their gameplay is limited to hack and slash arpg/fps with not a lot of variety outside of each one’s given style.
So my question is this… Would it be worth it to supplement one game with another? To pair a story driven game with an exploration and survival based game. Maybe I’m way off base here but I’d like to hear some of y’alls thoughts. Maybe I’m just excited to finally play NMS since I’ve held off for so long.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any input! 🚀
