Is there really that much more of a story left for old Shrek to tell at this point? Has he not said everything he really needed to say? Unless this one’s going to get real deep or meta or something I don’t feel overwhelmingly compelled to go see it… Especially sixteen years after the last installment lol
Maybe it’s going to be his experience being a grandpa?
The Shrek quadrology storyline is about his experience from meeting the woman of his life to becoming a parent, and then having this longing for his days before parenthood (and then regretting he wished his family away). It would be the next logical step.
I get what you mean. This new despicable me was horrible and had nothing to add to the movie. Really felt forced as hell. Steve didn’t sound as happy as he use to in the movie.

I didn’t think “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” was going to be that good. I thought it was fantastic.
They say there’s going to be a Donkey standalone movie as well. Again, not sure how good that will be, but time will tell.

I thought it was “better than 3”, I know thats faint praise but I had more fun than I was expecting so I left the cinema happy.
