I download torrents on my Samung Galaxy Note20 but it’s odd in that when I have downloads running in the background they tend to download alot slower than if I have the app open on my screen.

Like I could be downloading at 1mbps but as soon as I put the app front and centre it’ll gradually (over the course of about 10 seconds) go up to 6mpbs and stay there so it’s significant.

I know download speeds can change drastically but I’ve noticed this for months and ‘tested’ it as much as I can.

Does anyone know if there’s any truth to it? I’m thinking maybe android has some sort of restrictions maybe if an app is running in the background it’ll throttle it but not sure.

Thanks
