Im upgrading from a 1660ti and was able to grab a 4070s for $700 CAD (~$540 USD) and a 4080s for $1100 CAD (~$850 USD) but I’m not sure which to keep. I want the 4080s as it’s a pretty good deal in Canada but I don’t know if it’s worth the extra $400.

Currently playing at 1440p and 144hrz thinking of maybe upgrading to a 34" UW in the future. Other specs are

7800x3d 32GB ram 1000w psu

Is the 4080s overkill for my needs? I usually upgrade every 5+ years.
