    Rhetorical question:

    Telling a white candidate that they would “make the White House smell like gravy” would elicit no offense. The accused wouldn’t feel hurt and everybody would just get on with their lives. But if you substitute [gravy]/[white] for other ethnicity-food pairings, it causes a ruckus. Why is that?
