Butter causes me trouble with only a small amount; in comparison to cheese, despite (I thought) being lower in lactose.

I’ve never had any trouble with nori, but wakame salad and kelp chips I did.

Chippy shop chips depend on where I get them. Almost all indian food causes me trouble too; but not equally spicy non-indian food.

So um, any ideas what it might be that i’m intolerant to? Is there anything that these things have in common?

I’m kinda stumped, and it’s not sever enough for me to go to the doctor over, but i’d like to know what foods may cause me trouble if I try them.

Since, y’know, travelling is when I usually try new resturaunts, and right before a 6 hour car drive is the worst time to get a ‘lactose’ tummy. But it currently seems unpredictable; i’ve assumed it was lactose intolerance for years because that’s the most common, but recently i’m not sure.

I’d appreciate any suggestions or what other common intolerances there are that it may be.
