If you went back to 1990 and saw monochrome graphics and shitty refresh rates in 2d on a pc you’d think man these graphics suck…video games will never be any good!

Uhhh… No. I play Open TTD and its one of my favorite games. If you think a game is measured by its graphics you kinda need to play real games.
1989/1990 is when 16-Bit platforms like SNES, Mega Drive, and Neo-Geo launched. These 4th gen consoles were very far from “monochrome graphics” and were thought of as “very good” at the time.
This is DLSS 4. Can be a very good thing if done properly, as both DLSS 2 and 3 were.
